At
1200 West Algonquin Road
Palatine, IL 60067-7398
This class will develop your paranormal investigation skills
and create a broad knowledge of how spirits are understood globally.
Collaboratively taught by a paranormal investigator and an anthropologist. You
will gain an understanding of the role of spirits in cultures around the globe,
including the popular culture of ghost hunting in the US. You will learn the business, scientific,
psychological, and spiritual aspects of paranormal investigating and research
while developing the ability to practically apply this knowledge. You will use
your complete knowledge base to create explanatory hypotheses and critically
analyze them. You will be introduced to the investigation process, including
the use of equipment and software, the evidence review process, and potential
pitfalls. Mary Marshall is the founder of The Paranormal MD group. Scott
Cashman earned his PhD UMass in Cultural Anthropology.
This course will also serve as a prerequisite for an on site investigative/research class at a building with paranormal activity exclusively available to our students only!
A new and even more comprehensive program is being developed which will offer four separate classes that will differ in specifics. In addition to the current class offered, these new courses will be implemented in 2012.
